OPERA GALA WITH DENNIS O'NEILL, WYNNE EVANS, TIM RHYS-EVANS AND GUESTS

The 2011 Cardiff Music Festival comes to a spectacular climax with a celebration of the world of opera, featuring some of Wales' finest singers. Tim Rhys-Evans (Only Men Aloud musical director) hosts an evening of some of the most beautiful music to grace the operatic stage from composers including Verdi, Bizet, Mozart, Strauss, Puccini, Donizetti, Gounod and Bernstein.

The festival is delighted to welcome its patron Dennis O'Neill (one of the world's leading operatic tenors) to perform alongside Wynne Evans (popularly known for the role of Gio Compario in the GoCompare television adverts), Mark Evans, Gwawr Edwards, Angharad Morgan and Sam Furness. Accompanied by the festival's orchestra in residence, Cardiff Sinfonietta under the baton of Jonathan Mann, this concert promises to provide a magnificent finale to the 2011 Cardiff Music Festival. 

Bydd Gŵyl Gerddoriaeth Caerdydd yn cyrraedd uchafbwynt gyda dathliad o fyd yr opera yn cynnwys rhai o gantorion gorau Cymru. Bydd Tim Rhys-Evans, cyfarwyddwr cerdd Only Men Aloud yn cyflwyno noson o gerddoriaeth hyfryd o fyd yr opera gan gyfansoddwyr megis Verdi, Bizet, Mozart, Strauss, Puccini, Donizetti, Gounod a Bernstein.

Mae’n bleser gan yr ŵyl groesawu ei noddwr Dennis O’Neill (un o denoriaid opera mwyaf blaenllaw y byd) i berfformio ynghyd â Wynne Evans (sy’n adnabyddus am ei rôl Gio Compario yn yr hysbysebion teledu Go Compare), Mark Evans, Gwawr Edwards, Angharad Morgan a Sam Furness. Bydd Sinfonietta Caerdydd, cerddorfa breswyl yr ŵyl, o dan arweiniad Jonathan Mann, yn cyfeilio ac mae’n argoeli y bydd y cyngerdd hwn yn uchafbwynt gwych i Ŵyl Gerddoriaeth Caerdydd.
