MANCHESTER CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

The Cardiff Music Festival welcomes the Manchester Chamber Orchestra, under its principal conductor Jonathan Lo, as guest ensemble for a programme of popular works for strings. From the heartache of Barber's Adagio, through the elegance of Elgar, to the playful Holberg Suite by Grieg, this celebration of string music is ideally suited to the beautiful setting of Y Tabernacl Church. 

The talented young oboist Marissa Pueschel joins the orchestra for Vaughan Williams's Oboe Concerto, a work where the oboe's finest attributes are exploited.

Mae Gŵyl Gerddoriaeth Caerdydd yn croesawu Cerddorfa Siambr Manceinion, a’i phrif arweinydd Jonathan Lo fel ensemble gwadd ar gyfer rhaglen o weithiau poblogaidd i linynnau.  O gerddoriaeth ingol Barber a seiniau cain Elgar i Holberg Suite chwareus Grieg, mae’r dathliad hwn o gerddoriaeth i linynnau yn gweddu’n berffaith i leoliad hyfryd Eglwys y Tabernacl.

 Mae’r chwaraewr obo ifanc a thalentog, Marissa Pueschel  yn ymuno â’r gerddorfa ar gyfer y concerto i’r obo gan Vaughan Williams, gwaith sy’n gyfle i arddangos nodweddion gorau’r offeryn.
